When you refuel your car with the wrong fuel, you could end up ruining your fuel tank, fuel pump and even the carburetor or engine.
Have you ever been in an embarrassing situation when you visited the nearest fuel station and were too busy with something else to notice that you filled petrol in your diesel car? Or even filling diesel in a petrol car? Well, you may not be alone. Research has stated that one in every seven car owners tend to accidentally topup their vehicles with the wrong fuel—and it includes men too!
Well, Fifth Gear conducted an experiment with an Opel Astra that actually runs on diesel. The host first filled his petrol car with diesel and checked if it was necessary for having the car serviced for this mistake. Check out what is his take.
