Tata Motors launches Altroz iCNG at Rs. 7.55 lakh

HYDERABAD: Leading car manufacturer Tata Motors has on Tuesday launched the Altroz iCNG at an introductory price of Rs. 7.55 lakh, here on Tuesday.

The Altroz iCNG is India's first twin-cylinder CNG technology car, which does not compromise on the boot space. Tata Motors has successfully managed to accommodate the CNG kit with twin-cylinders under the boot space, doing away with the almost-perpetual question of where to load the luggage in a CNG car.

After the success of iCNG in Tiago and Tigor, the Altroz iCNG is Tata Motors’ third CNG offering in the personal segment. The car is offered across six variants, XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S)and XZ+O(S), and is available in four colour options, Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey and Avenue White. The Altroz iCNG reduces the total cost of ownership further with 3 years / 100000 km as standard warranty.

It comes with a set of new features like voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger, air purifier projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 8-speaker touchscreen infotainment system by Harman with Android Autoand Apple Carplay connectivity.

Coming to the safety features the Altroz portfolio is built on the ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced) Architecture platform which uses of ultra-high strength steel. The premium hatchback also comes with added safety features like features like a micro-switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refueling.

The Altroz iCNG comes with a powerful 1.2L Revotron Engine which delivers power of 73.5 PS @6000 rpm and torque of 103 Nm @ 3500 rpm.

Launching the car along with regional manager AP and TS, Tata Motors Gopikrishna Gopu, head of brand marketing, Tata Motors, Ravindra Jain said that the company has recently achieved 5 million sales milestone in India with the last one million sales coming in the last 18 months.

Talking about the growth of Tata Motors’ market share across all four-wheeler segments, Ravindra Jain said that the company’s numbers have seen a significant rise from having a 4.75% market share in 2019-20 to growing up to 13.88% in the 2022-2023.
