Maruti introduces android auto to five models

Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza that is equipped with Maruti's SmartPlay infotainment system.

The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift, which is expected to make its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.

If you currently own any one of Maruti's five models among the Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, S-Cross or the Vitara Brezza that is equipped with Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system, we have some good news for you. Apart from the already available Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity, you can now upgrade your system with the latest maps software and Android Auto compatibility. All you need to do is take your car to the nearest Maruti showroom and install the 2.5 GB update free of cost.

Do you own a Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, S-Cross or a Vitara Brezza that came with Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system? Well, good news! You can now get the system updated to get the latest maps software and get Android Auto compatibility in addition to the already available Apple CarPlay. Just take your beloved car to the nearest Maruti showroom and get this 2.5 GB update free of cost.

Until now, only the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the new-gen Dzire had the updated system. Maruti’s 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, that made its debut with the S-Cross, had a range of features including built-in navigation, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio streaming and Apple CarPlay connectivity. With the addition of Android Auto, the infotainment system finally catches up with the one being offered in Hyundai cars, including the Grand i10, Xcent, Creta and the Elite i20.
