Nissan launches updated Micra
Japanese automaker Nissan has introduced the updated version of the Micra before the festive season. The updated versions of both the Micra and the Micra Active have been on sale since September 6, 2016. The Micra Active has been priced at Rs 4.55 lakh, while the Micra petrol CVT starts at Rs 5.99 lakh (all ex-showroom, New Delhi).
What’s new?
The Micra is available in a brand new shade – Sunshine Orange – along with the existing five shades – Brick Red, Turquoise Blue, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Nightshade and Storm White.
The new all-black interior in the Micra includes a black central console with piano black finish, black door trims and black seat fabric with blue stitching.
The Micra Active features a black instrument panel cluster and finisher, black seat fabric and a silver-colour door armrest finisher.
Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “The affordable and accessible Micra offers a charming visual appeal with its new “Sunshine Orange” exterior colour complemented by the edgy, European-style all-black interior. These new options come without any price increase. We’re confident this package will resonate with Indian customers.”
The updated Micra remains mechanically unaltered. The hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel. The petrol puts out 77PS of power and 104Nm of torque and is available solely with a CVT automatic transmission.
The diesel produces 64PS of power and 160Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual. The petrol variant returns a certified fuel efficiency of 19.34kmpl, while the diesel unit returns 23.08kmpl. The Active is available with the same 1.2-litre engine, but produces 68PS of power and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a similar torque of 104Nm.
