Citroen rolls out C3 Aircross at Rs 9.99 lakh

PUNE: French carmaker Citroën on Thursday launched the new C3 Aircross SUV priced at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh at the New Delhi showroom.

This mid-size SUV is over 90 per cent localized and designed for the fiercely competitive but lucrative Indian market.

The Citroen C3 Aircross competes with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara priced at Rs 10.70 lakh-Rs 19.83 lakh, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder at Rs 10.86 lakh-Rs 19.99 lakh, MG Astor at Rs 10.81 lakh-Rs 18.69 lakh, Hyundai Creta at Rs 10.87 lakh-Rs 19.20 lakh, Kia Seltos at Rs 10.90 lakh- Rs 20.30 lakh, Honda Elevate at Rs 11.08 lakh-Rs 16.08 lakh, Skoda Kushaq at Rs 10.89 lakh-Rs 20.01 lakh and Volkswagen Taigun at Rs 11.62 lakh-Rs 19.36 lakh.

The Citroen C3 Aircross will be available in both 5-seater and 5+2-seater configurations. The deliveries of the C3 Aircross will start from October15. Customers can avail of the ‘Buy Now Pay in 2024’ offer on all deliveries till October 31.

The Citroen C3 Aircross sits between the C3, a 5-seater hatchback and the C5 Aircross SUV.

The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 108 BHP and 190 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It has a company claimed fuel efficiency of 18.5 kmpl.

The C3 Aircross comes with three rows of seats and can seat up to 7 people. The last row can be folded or removed completely.

The dashboard layout is similar to the C3 and features a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It comes with a digital instrument cluster, air-conditioning with a roof-mounted blower, engine start/stop button, TPMS and hill hold.
