Kawasaki launched Ninja 300 KRT edition at Rs. 3.61 lakh

Kawasaki has not made any mechanical changes to the KRT edition, besides the cosmetic update.

Kawasaki has launched the Ninja 300 KRT edition in India at a price of Rs. 3.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The special edition gets black and green livery with green fairing. It is also inspired from the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT).

Kawasaki hasn’t made the launch official with any sort of official communique, though the special edition model has been sent to dealerships. They have also begun selling the special KRT edition of the Kawasaki Ninja 300. It will also likely replace the anniversary edition, which has been on sale since its launch in November 2015.

Kawasaki has not made any mechanical changes to the KRT edition, besides the cosmetic update. It continues to be powered by the liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 296 cc fuel injected powertrain that develops 39 PS of peak power at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed transmission. The top speed of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is pegged at 160 kmph.

Suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm telescopic forks for the front wheel and 5-way adjustable rear monoshocks. Braking duties are handled by a 290 mm petalled disc brake in the front wheel and the 220 mm disc in the rear. However, the Ninja 300 still doesn’t get equipped with ABS.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 weighs 172 kilograms and gets 110/70 section tyre for the front wheel and the 140/70 section rubber tyre for the rear. The full-faired sportbike rivals the Yamaha R3 in India.
