Toyota Innova Crysta gets petrol engine, Rs 60,000 price cut expected

Innova Crysta the latest offering of Toyota is likely to get a petrol-powered engine soon in order to overcome the ban against the diesel cars. The launch is expected to be in the first week of August. The Innova Crysta Petrol will come with a 2.7-litre engine and two gearbox options.

To be available in three trim levels G, V and Z, the new Innova Crysta Petrol will be powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder Dual VVT-i engine which generates a peak power and torque output of 166hp and 245Nm respectively. The two gearbox options will include a 5-speed Manual and a 6-speed Automatic.

The entry level G trim of Innova Crysta will feature three airbags, four speakers as standard with non-touchscreen infotainment system along with a basic Multi-Information Display. The V trim will get automatic LED projector headlamps, driver seat height adjust, touchscreen infotainment with six speakers, keyless entry and go feature, auto up-down for all four windows and front fog lamps along with all the features of the G trim.

The top-end Z variant will get seven airbags, cruise control, stability control and hill start assist, leather seats with driver seat electric adjust and touchscreen infotainment with navigation along with all the above mentioned features of G and V trim levels. The price range is expected to be around Rs 60,000 lower than the equivalent diesel trims.
