Toyota Innova Crysta & Fortuner get more features, bigger price tags
Buying a new Toyota Innova Crysta or Fortuner will be a bit more expensive affair from now on as the manufacturer has increased prices across all variants of the two vehicles. Prices of the Innova Crysta have been hiked by upto Rs 51,000 whereas its Touring Sport variant will have you shell out Rs 44,000 more than before. The Fortuner, on the other hand, has received a price hike of upto Rs 99,000.
For the extra money you get added features as well on both the vehicles. Both the Fortuner and the Innova Crysta receive new safety equipment such as emergency brake signal and rear fog lamps. Features like anti-theft alarm with glass break and parking sensors were only available on the Fortuner as standard but have now surfaced as standard on the Innova petrol as well.
The base Innova Crysta GX now also gets a touchscreen infotainment system with steering-mounted audio controls, power folding ORVMs with puddle lamps, and speed- and impact-sensitive door unlock/lock feature. Other variants -- VX and ZX -- do not get any new features. The Innova Crysta Touring Sport now comes equipped with front LED fog lamps.
As for the Fortuner, you get additional features such as a passenger side powered seat and an electrochromatic inside rear-view mirror (IRVM) as standard. The drivetrains on the respective vehicles remain unchanged.

2.7 2WD AT (Petrol) | Rs 28.86 lakh | Rs 28.38 lakh | Rs 48,000 |

2.8 4WD AT | Rs 32.97 lakh | Rs 32.48 lakh | Rs 49,000 |
Both the vehicles get a jump up in terms of features. However, except for the Innova GX variants, the hike on all other Innova and Fortuner variants is steep in our books given the new features that have been introduced. This is especially true for the Toyota Fortuner with its 2.8 2WD MT, which gets a price rise of nearly Rs 1 lakh without any significant rise in the features count.
