Luxury cars now become affordable'
New Delhi: Luxury cars makers launched “affordable” to “ultra highend” cars at the Auto Expo 2016 to attract more eye balls.
Jaguar Land Rover launched its “cheapest car” XE in India on Wednesday with the price starting from Rs 39.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Till now XF which started from Rs 47 lakh was the cheapest Jaguar available in India.
BMW too launched all new X1 starting from Rs 29.9 lakh. Mercedes-Benz India unveiled the much awaited dynamic SUV the GLC; the stunningly attractive S-Class Cabriolet and the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard.
Actors, cricketers lend glitter to car launches
Actors and cricketers provided the “oomph factor” to Auto Expo. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar too came for BMW, a car which he loves to drive.
Amid rumours of Ranbir and Katrina ending their relationship, both appeared for different brands at Auto Expo. Ranbir came for the launch of Hero Motorcycles, Katrina was there for high end luxury carmaker Jaguar. Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Alia Bhatt were present during the launch of Audi.
Cricketer Zaheer Khan and former cricketer Mohinder Amarnath were at Nissan car launch. On a lighter vein, Tendulkar said: “I thought BMW was organising a cricket match as so many cricketers have come here.”
