2017 Kawasaki Versys 1000 and 650 introduced

Both the Kawasaki Versys 1000 and 650 are available in the India at Rs 12.85 lakh and Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has introduced the updated 2017 models of its Versys range of adventure-touring motorcycles. The new Versys 1000 and the Versys 650 come with new colour schemes and also feature an updated instrument console with gear position indicator. They also get redesigned windshield knobs for easy adjustment and a GPS mount has been added to the accessory list of the Versys series as well.

Powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, the 2017 Kawasaki Versys 650 will be available in Metallic Flat Raw Titanium and Metallic Flat Spark Black/Metallic Carbon Grey along with a special edition Candy Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black colour options. The fuel-injected motor makes 69PS of power at 8,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 64Nm at 7,000rpm. The bike comes packed with features like adjustable suspension set-up with inverted front forks and offset rear monoshock, dual front and single rear disc brakes, large 21-litre fuel tank, panniers and top box mounts and ABS. Besides all these standard features, the bike also has a long list of optional accessories to choose from.

Kawasaki Versya 1000

The 2017 Kawasaki Versys 1000 will now be available in Candy Burnt Orange/Flat Ebony, Candy Lime Green/Metallic Carbon Grey and Metallic Flat Spark Black colour options. The bike continues to get 120PS and 102Nm from the 1,043cc inline-four motor and there are no changes to the other features as well. The bike comes with a fully adjustable suspension set-up and a high performance braking system with ABS. Moreover, it gets technologies like assist & slipper clutch and 3-mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) with power modes, providing a total of eight level-combinations.
