Ford to launch Mustang in India on July 13
Mustang, the iconic pony car of Ford will be launched in India on July 13th. Mustang made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo held at Greater Noida in February. The launch event of the car is also to be held only at Greater Noida at the Buddh International Circuit.
Though Mustang is to be launched in India for the first time, it is currently in the sixth generation worldwide. This sixth generation Mustang was unveiled in 2014 on celebrating its 50th anniversary. The Indian Mustang will be the European-spec model and is expected to be priced from 50 lakhs to 70 lakhs.
Ford India will offer its muscle car, Mustang with a 5.0-litre Ti-VCT naturally aspirated V8 Petrol engine churning out 435bhp and 542Nm of peak power and torque output respectively. Transmission will be offered via 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. A smaller 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost engine is also expected to power the Mustang.
The sixth generation Mustang to be offered for India is lighter, stiffer and more spacious than its predecessors. The exciting features of the car will include dual front airbags with additional curtain and knee bags, Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, LED Tail lamps, HID Head lamps with LED, drive mode selector, dual-zone HVAC system and so on.
