Vijayawada: Altigreen, now part of JAKSON Group, has entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of MINSARA, a multi-utility electric two-wheeler aimed at users who require a vehicle for both personal mobility and work-related applications.
The launch marks an expansion of Altigreen’s product portfolio beyond electric cargo three-wheelers. The company said MINSARA is intended for a range of users, including small business owners, traders, delivery professionals, service technicians, farmers and rural entrepreneurs.
MINSARA will be offered in three variants. The MINSARA S has a 2.78 kWh battery and a claimed range of 125 km, while the MINSARA S+ has a 3.8 kWh battery and a claimed range of 165 km. The MINSARA SE variant will feature a battery-swapping configuration. The company has not specified the battery-swapping network or operating details in the announcement.
The vehicle has a peak torque rating of 172 Nm, a gradeability of 33%, a top speed of 75 kmph and a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 264 kg. Its listed equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a rib-caged chassis, telescopic suspension, crash guards and dual disc brakes with a combined braking system (CBS).
The starting ex-showroom price is ₹1.24 lakh. Bookings have opened through Altigreen dealerships in Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Noida, with deliveries scheduled to begin on December 1, 2026. The vehicle carries a standard warranty of three years or 30,000 km; the company said extended warranty options are planned.
Deepak Thakur, CEO, JAKSON Green Vehicles, said the product had been developed for customers who use two-wheelers for a range of everyday and livelihood-related requirements. He said the launch was part of the group’s wider focus on expanding into electric mobility.
Amitabh Saran, CTO and Founder of Altigreen, said the company had applied its electric vehicle engineering experience to a two-wheeler format. He also pointed to the role of the company’s dealership and service network in supporting the new product.
The launch is part of Altigreen’s stated portfolio expansion across electric two-wheelers, cargo three-wheelers and passenger three-wheelers. The company said it plans to enter the passenger three-wheeler category as well.
