All New Mini Convertible Sold Out in Just 24 Hours
With demand surging for it, the carmaker has now opened bookings for the second phase of deliveries starting from next year.

Pune: BMW, the German luxury car maker, on Wednesday said the first batch of the all-new Mini Cooper S Convertible has been sold out within 24 hours since it was launched in India on December 12. The company did not share numbers.
With demand surging for it, the carmaker has now opened bookings for the second phase of deliveries starting from next year.
“That was quick! The speed at which the all-new Mini Convertible got sold underscores how strongly our community resonates with irresistible design and a genuinely fun, authentic driving experience,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO at BMW Group India.
Mini owners do not follow trends, they carve their own path, top down, he noted.
The Mini Convertible features a fabric folding roof, which can be lowered or raised in 18 seconds and 15 seconds, respectively, at speeds of up to 30 km/h. It also has a ‘sunroof mode’ where the top slides open partially.
When the top is open, the MINI Convertible has a luggage compartment volume of 160 litres. When closed, it expands to 215 litres.
The Mini Convertible is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine which churns out 201 BHP and 300 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic sport transmission, which drives the front wheels. Mini claims to sprints from 0 – 100 km/hr in just 6.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 240 km/h.
