Buddha Purnima: CM Revanth visits Mahabodhi Vihara in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy has on Thursday visited the Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara in Secunderabad marking the auspicious Buddha Purnima.

Buddha devotees from all over the world celebrate the Budda Purnima commemorating the birth of prince Siddhartha Gauthama.
Terming Buddha's teachings as timeless, CM Revanth said "Buddha has renounced his kingdom and power at the age of 29 in his quest for peace, and the Buddhist ideology still stands tall even after 2,500 years."
"I have drawn inspiration from Buddhist teachings that emphasize mindfulness in every work, Buddha's teachings are important to the country, now more than ever", he added.
CM Revanth Reddy, assured support from Special development fund to build a "Dhyana Mandiram." Buddhist monks will have a respectable place in Telangana's society and will have full support of the government, he stressed.
