Mumbai: Nearly two years after the release of the critically acclaimed 'Citylights', Hansal Mehta is back with his latest directorial venture 'Aligarh'.

The film is based on the real life story of professor Dr Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, essayed by Manoj Bajpayee. He was suspended from his job after being caught in a sting operation while embracing a rickshaw-puller and was found dead under suspicious circumstances after successfully appealing his suspension.

At the trailer launch, Manoj said, “The biggest challenge was, to capture the loneliness in the man’s eyes and portray that. That was difficult. To show loneliness in the body, on your face, that was most difficult thing to do.”
