Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor will feature in British band Coldplay’s new music video ‘Hymn for The Weekend’! Yes, you heard that right. Reports on Thursday, state that the stylish diva will make an appearance as a ‘mystical muse’ in the video that also features Grammy winning singer Beyonce.
This news comes months after the band, surprised fans in Mumbai and Delhi, by sneaking into the country for a two-day shooting schedule. The song is the second single of the band's seventh album, ‘A Head Full of Dreams’.
According to a report in a leading daily, the actress said that she was a big fan of the band’s music and that it was a ‘huge honour’ being a part of the video.
We had reported last year that Chris Martin and his boys shot parts of their video in Worli and at the Vasai fort. Reports today state that Sonam too shot her scenes at the very same locations in a daylong shoot. The actress will reportedly be seen sporting a ghagra choli with the traditional mang tika and nose ring.
The video that is set to release shortly, has been directed by Ben Mor. While we have seen Chris and his band dive into the mythical world with ‘Princess Of China’ (featuring Rihanna), it would be interesting to see how Sonam’s part as Indian goddess plays out on-screen.
