I still can't stand before papaji and talk to him face to face: Sunny Deol

Sunny talks about family dynamics and the values inculcated in them.

Sunny Deol is all set to make it at the box office this time with Ghayal Once Again. The promos are appealing and the film has a message to the youth on how to win the world. “All my films impart some message or the other. Pursue you dreams with honesty and success will be yours,” says Sunny.

Talking about his relationship with his father Dharmendra and his son Karan, Sunny says, “As a kid, I would never talk to dad (Dharmendra). If I needed something, I would tell my mom and she would convey it to him. Even today, it’s the same. I still can’t stand before papaji and talk to him face to face. We have been brought up with that kind of respect and values,” he says, adding his son too follows suit. “Karan too sends all his messages to me via his mother.”

Sunny though has very high regards for the younger generation, “I guess they are very understanding. We need to give them enough space. Not only Karan, each kid of this generation is culturally motivated”

And this year is special for the Deols because he will also be launching his son in an upcoming film. “Yes, after the release of Ghayal Once Again, I will be concentrating on bringing Karan to the celluloid. I won’t reveal the genre of the movie now, but I will focus on the script, story and direction. The only thing I can say is that this launch pad for Karan will be an earthy and wholesome story,” he sums up with a smile.
