Sanjay Kapur blames Karisma for their troubled 11-year marriage

Mumbai: Sanjay Kapur has filed a fresh divorce petition where he claims that Karisma Kapoor married him as a rebound after her break-up with Abhishek Bachchan. The petition portrays her as the culprit in their troubled 11-year long marriage.

According to reports, Sunjay claims that Karisma married him for his money in a calculated and clinical manner. It further adds that she has not only failed as a wife and daughter-in-law, but also as a mother. He has also mentioned the fact that Karisma chose her career over him and blatantly refused to shift to Delhi.

Sunjay and Karisma have two children, Samaira and Kiaan, whose custody is the centre of the court battle. Reportedly, Karisma didn’t let the Kapur family meet them frequently in her bid to claim more money. She even deprived Sunjay’s ailing father access to his children.

Apart from the children’s custody, a trust fund set up for them is another controversial issue. In a report, Sunjay claims to have reluctantly agreed to make Karisma the sole trustee, but she refused and insisted that her successor would be her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan. When Sunjay refused to accept her conditions, she kept Samaira and Kiaan away from meeting him.
