Parineeti amazed by Priyanka's Hollywood achievements and 'Baywatch' role
Mumbai: Actress Parineeti Chopra says it is amazing that her cousin sister and Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is in talks of bagging a part in the film adaptation of the TV series ‘Baywatch’.
This film will be Priyanka's first Hollywood outing and second international project after her hit TV show ‘Quantico’.
When asked she felt about the news, Parineeti said, "Is it confirmed though? I will call her soon. It's amazing. The things that she is achieving out there are just fabulous. There are things that you and I can dream of and she's doing them. It's amazing."
If Priyanka can work out a filming schedule, she is in early talks of playing a villainous role in the adaptation of the iconic TV show, where she will star opposite Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
The ‘Shudh Desi Romance’ star says she is proud of Priyanka, who recently bagged People Choice Award for the FBI-drama series ‘Quantico’, and feels she has always been ahead in the family.
"Not only as a sister, she always used to be ahead in the family, she would go out and do things and we would constantly be amazed. Now she's winning awards, doing a TV show and now a film. I don't think anybody else could've done it like here. Nobody else deserves it like her because that girl really works hard."
The star, who is rumoured to be in the Sania Mirza biopic also revealed that she was never offered a role in Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’.
Rumours were rife that the 27-year-old actress was approached to play the female lead. It was announced last week that Anushka Sharma has bagged the role in the much-talked about Yash Raj Film sports drama.
"I ignored it (rumours) for quite sometime and so I tweeted about it. I am not doing 'Sultan' as the film was never offered to me. Now, Anushka is doing the film and it is great," Parineeti told reporters.
The actress also denied reports that she may be seen in a YRF film opposite actor Aditya Roy Kapoor.
"It is a crazy rumour. We both are busy," she said.
The "Ishqzaade" actress said she is working in a film but did not reveal much about it.
"There is something. But I can't announce. We will announce it whenever we are ready. The producers will do that," she said.
The actress hit headlines recently with her latest photo-shoot 'Built that Way' where she was seen in a new avatar, which had even stirred a debate on the social media about body shaming.
