Priyanka Chopra walks the red carpet at the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles

Mumbai: Many of the film and TV industry award season's principal players gathered Saturday afternoon for a spot of tea and talked a little business.

The semiannual event, sponsored by the Los Angeles branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), is held the day before each Emmy and Golden Globe ceremony, and it usually attracts many of each award show's top contenders. Among tea attendees this weekend were actors Leonardo DiCaprio (‘The Revenant’) and Mark Ruffalo (‘Spotlight’), actresses Alicia Vikander (‘The Danish Girl’, ‘'Ex Machina’) and Cate Blanchett (‘Carol’).

Walking the red carpet with these Hollywood A-listers was our very own Priyanka Chopra. The actress made a fashion statement on the carpet, by turning up in a black dress by Australian designer Alex Perry. The star experimented with her hair and wore it in a bow updo. She finished out her look with Nicholas Kirkwood pumps and a metallic silver Choo clutch.

Priyanka recently became the first South Asian woman to win an award at the People's Choice Awards. Latest buzz around the star is that she might just earn her first Golden Globe Award nomination and possible win for her debut American television show ‘Quantico’.

PC was also seen attending the Television Critics Association Winter Press which took place in California.
