Bhadrakali Shakambari Navratri Celebration Concludes
Thousands witness goddess adorned with 10,000 kg of vegetables and fruits

Warangal: The 15-day Shakambari Navratri celebrations concluded on a grand note on Ashada Shukla Purnima at the Sri Bhadrakali Devi Temple in Hanamkonda on Thursday. The goddess was adorned with an array of vegetables, fruits, and flowers, and special prayers and rituals marked the finale.
Endowments Minister Konda Surekha inaugurated the closing ceremonies by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Thousands of devotees then entered the temple to have darshan of Sri Bhadrakali Devi in her Shakambari avatar, chanting “Sri Bhadrakali Devi Sharanam Mama” and “Shakambari Sharanam Mama” in unison.
Over 10,000 kg of vegetables and fruits were donated and fashioned into garlands that draped the deity from head to toe. Under the leadership of Bhadrakali Seva Samithi convener Aitha Gopinath, these offerings were later distributed to devotees as prasadam.
NCC volunteers, along with members of the Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara and Venkateswara Seva Samitis, provided logistical support to worshippers in the queue lines. Hundreds of police personnel were deployed, on the orders of Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh, to ensure tight security throughout the festivities.
The celebrations concluded with the Poornahuti ceremony for Shakambari Navaratri. Temple executive officer Seshu Bharathi thanked the media, police, various government departments, and all individuals whose cooperation made the Navratri Mahotsavam a resounding success.
