Tokyo: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said that the decline in Japan's population is a "quietly advancing national crisis" in a policy speech on Monday.
"Population decline is a quietly advancing national crisis," Takaichi said in parliament, pledging to "formulate a comprehensive population strategy" by the end of this year.
