London: MPs in Britain are being offered free self-defence training techniques used by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad to equip them in the event of an attack, months after a woman lawmaker was killed in her constituency. The fighting technique Krav Maga Hebrew for “contact combat”    combines elements of judo, jujitsu, street fighting and boxing.

It is taught as a defence against assailants with guns or knives and comes after a knife attack on MP Jo Cox, who was killed in her constituency in West Yorkshire, northern England, in June. The free lessons are aimed at protecting MPs against stalkers, terrorists and political extremists, The Daily Telegraph reports. Mendora Ogbogbo, Parli-Training founder, said: “We are teaching them techniques where if someone comes at them with a knife or a gun, they can disarm the weapons and then run.”
