At least 20 people were killed and five remain missing after a fire broke out aboard a foreign-flagged cargo ship docked at a port in eastern China.

A fire that erupted on a foreign-flagged cargo ship docked in an eastern Chinese port on Thursday has killed at least 20 people, with five still missing, state media said.

Of 42 people on board, 12 were safely evacuated, while five were hospitalised with injuries and were in stable condition, state broadcaster CCTV said.
