Mani Ratnam’s next, a bilingual movie planned with Dulquer Salmaan and Karthi in the lead, is now said to be featuring Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya.

Earlier, Dulquer was replaced with Nani as the latter was busy in Mollywood.

The film was supposed to go on the floors in December, but as Karthi’s dates were unavailable, it was delayed.

Sources say that the director has decided to rope in Rana and Chaitanya as the lead actors. “It has almost been finalised and the director will confirm both these actors as the lead soon,” says a source.

The subject is touted to be revenge drama and the director has already signed Nithya Menon and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads.

“He may go ahead with the same actors for Tamil version too,” added the source. Music will be composed by A.R. Rahman.

Interestingly, the same project was initially planned with Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna as the lead. If everything goes well, this will be the first time Rana and Chaitanya, the grandsons of Ramanaidu, willact together.
