Sony Xperia XZ launched in India for Rs 51,990

Sony has launched its latest flagship smartphone for the Indian market, the Xperia XZ. The device is priced at Rs 51,990, but will be available for a best buy price of Rs 49,990.

Consumers who pre-order the smartphone will also get a free Sony SWR30 SmartBand worth Rs 8,990. The device offers dual SIM functionality and is IP68 certified.

The highlight of the smartphone is the 23MP rear camera backed by the 6-element Sony G lens and company’s own ‘Bionz for mobile’ image processor. It also packs in a 13MP front facing camera Exmor RS sensor.

The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It also features a USB Type-C charging port.

The Xperia XZ is fuelled by a 2900mAh battery and comes with Sony UCH12W quick charger that claims to offer up to 5.5 hours of talk time on 10 minutes of charge.
