Honor 8 Pro with 6GB RAM launched in India

Honor has unveiled its new Honor 8 Pro smartphone for the Indian consumers. The company launched the same smartphone dubbed as the Honor V9 in China in February.

The Honor 8 Pro is an upgraded version of the previously launched Honor 8. It comes with a dual camera, 6GB RAM and massive 4000mAh battery. The company is yet to announce the price of the device for the Indian market.

The dual camera setup on the Honor 8 Pro comprises of two 12MP sensors with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash and is capable of capturing 4K videos. For selfies, users get an 8MP front facing snapper.

The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch LTPS LCD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and is powered by a Kirin 960 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. It is juiced by a 4000mAh battery and features a fingerprint sensor for added security.

The Honor 8 Pro was launched for a price of EUR 549 (approx Rs 39,500) for the European market. Moreover, the retail box of the device can transform into a Google Cardboard like viewer for VR experience. The smartphone also comes with pre-loaded apps from company partners Gameloft and GoPro.
