Other notable differences seen on the OnePlus 7 include a triple rear camera layout.

The next OnePlus handsets are expected to launch next month with rumours pointing at a May 14 release. Now, details about its camera have surfaced indicating what the triple camera sensor on the OnePlus 7 Pro will comprise of.

As per a tweet, a tipster, Max J states, “A slightly different leak today: The #OnePlus7Pro will feature three rear cams: 1. 48MP Main Lens 2. 8MP Telephoto Lens w/ 3x zoom F/2.4 3. 16MP Ultra-Wide Lens F/2.2.”

With this leak, we finally get to know the cameras configuration way ahead of its official announcement. The highlight of the OnePlus 7 Pro’s rear camera setup is undoubtedly its 48MP primary sensor, however, it is interesting to see that the brand will use an 8MP telephoto lens with a 3x zoom and an F/2.4 aperture. As of now, the focal length isn’t known but reports claim that it could be 80mm which is about as much as a non-periscope lens can manage. The third camera will feature an ultra-wide lens with a 16MP sensor with an F/2.2 aperture with a 117-degree field of view.

OnePlus will be releasing more information about its next handsets later on today and till then, there have been a lot of takeaways thus far. For the first time, there will be two OnePlus handsets launched with the lower-end OnePlus 7 coming with similar design elements as the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 7 Pro will be the most talked about the smartphone as it will come with a pop-up selfie camera placed in the middle as opposed to a notched display. Also, there could be a 5G model of the handset also being announced at the event so there could be up to three new handsets being launched.

More about OnePlus 7’s launch will be known in the near future.
