Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 3 will be launched in India on March 3. The device was launched in China in November last year and will now see sales in India this year. The Chinese tech giant will have the event in New Delhi which will host the event to media and fans, similar to the Mi 4i launch. Alternatively, Xiaomi has also asked fans to register online for the event in order to assure seats at the launch venue.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a pixel depth of 403ppi. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 2GB of RAM (3GB of RAM in another variant, depending on the one they launch) and PowerVR G6200 GPU. The device sports two variants of onboard storage — 16GB and 32GB, but Xiaomi has not yet confirmed which one (or both) will be launched here in India.

Moving forward, the Redmi Note 3 will sport a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera and will be fuelled by a 4000mAh battery. The operating system will be MIUI v7, based on Android Lollipop v5.0.x. Features that will mark the USP of the Redmi Note 3 are fingerprint scanner, rear camera with f/2.2 phase detection autofocus and the large battery.

As for now the device has not been tagged for a price, but the estimated price would be around Rs 18,990.
