Facebook has announced to roll out Instant Article feature for its messaging app, Messenger. The feature will provide quick access to links shared on the platform, faster than a standard mobile web article.

‘When you tap on an Instant Article link in Facebook, it loads up to ten times faster than a standard mobile web article, so it was important to make sure everyone on Messenger could have the same great reading experience,’ John Roberts, product manager, said in a statement.

The feature will open up articles on a separate Messenger window, already loaded in the background, rather than taking the user to a new window in order to save his time. The contents which will support Instant Article feature will showcase a lightning bolt sign over the top-right corner.

However, the feature is first rolling out to Android users, and will be available to  iPhones users in the coming weeks.
