The upcoming iPhone, the iPhone 8, will reportedly come in 4.7-inch size accommodating a battery which will be as powerful as the one featured in a 5.5-inch iPhone model.

According to a recent report by KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Apple iPhone 8 will be about the same size as that of its predecessor, but will pack a battery of a ‘Plus’ variant – the iPhone 7 Plus, which features 5.5-inch screen and is powered by a 2700mAh of battery.

In his reports, Kuo stated the substrate-like PCB mainboard will result in the OLED display iPhone 8 having similar dimensions to a 4.7-inch iPhone, yet comparable battery life to a 5.5-inch iPhone. To make it possible, Kuo is expecting Apple to include an L- shaped two cell battery pack with a 2700mAh battery capacity.

The report claimed by KGI further adds credibility to the iPhone 8’s OLED panel rumour. With 4.7-inch size, and yet delivering a battery capacity of a 5.5-inch model can only be done by going ‘no-bezel’ design.
