Samsung reportedly worked very closely with Google for optimising Adnroid on the Galaxy Fold, the world’s first foldable phone. The company has stated that the Galaxy Fold has hundreds of apps already optimised for the phone.

Google’s Android 10 allows apps to be resized better and adds a new feature in the Android Emulator that allows switching between multiple displays quickly. Developers have been using this to figure out how their apps will work on the new form factor.

Apps mentioned in particular include Spotify, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Amazon Prime Video, VSCO, App in the Air, iHeartMedia and more. While the “optimisation” does mean that the aps have been scaled to the proper aspect ratio, what new implementations have been taken in remain to be seen.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is available in Korea and should soon arrive in other regions of the world later this month.
