iPhone 6 and above models will be upgraded to iOS 11.

The iOS 11 update has been one of the major software updates for mobile Apple devices. It brings in a lot of features and as well as major UI refinements. However, as with all new major updates, a host of bugs come along. Apple has until now released two major patches to sort the issues. However, several bugs have emerged for various iPhones and iPads across the world.

According to a report from The Telegraph, researchers have found that iOS 11 is draining battery twice as fast as iOS 10 did. The analysis from mobile security company Wandera claimed the average battery decay for an iPhone running on iOS 10 under constant use is 240 minutes. With iOS 11, the decay time has gone down to 96 minutes. The report, however, claims that recent patches to iOS 11 have limited the battery drain.

Apart from battery drain, iOS 11 is also housing several other bugs. One major possible reason for the occurrence of these bugs could be that iOS 11 was designed keeping in mind the newer form factor of the iPhone X and the new hardware of iPhone 8. The older iPhones and iPads may not have the perfect requirements to support iOS 11 without any issue.

Whatever may be the case, we hope that Apple will iron out the issues in iOS 11 as soon as possible so as to prove itself as a more stable platform by the time Google’s Android Oreo begins its global deployment across multiple kinds of Android devices.
