Google to release update for Nexus 5X performance boost

The update would enhance performance of the device and would also address issues related with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P received Android O as the last major update, following Google's policy of two-year software support and three-year security support.

New Delhi: Technology giant Google has promised a software update in the Nexus 5X smartphone, which would raise the speed.

The update would enhance performance of the device and would also address issues related with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The California-based company said in a statement that the update would come next month, the Verge reported.

Nexus 5X is an Android smartphone manufactured by LG Electronics, co-developed and marketed by Google as part of its Nexus line of flagship devices.

Unveiled in 2015, the Nexus 5X along with the 6P serve as launch devices for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which introduced a refreshed interface, performance improvements, increased Google now integration, and other new features.
