Leak reveals Pixel 2 will have big bezels, no dual-camera and headphone jack

Not on the list is the headphone jack as well. Just like Apple and HTC, Google has made plans to ditch the 3.5mm jack, offering instead an USB Type-C port for all purposes.

Google is in the works for unveiling its latest flagship, the new generation Pixel devices later this year. Now leak reports have also emerged which provides us with a closer look at what to expect.

In a photo published by VentureBeat, it shows the smaller Google Pixel which is also codenamed Walley — the successor to the Google Pixel XL is codenamed Taimen, but most of the changes are likely to make it on both the devices.

In terms of design, Google is not inclined to go for anything dramatic unlike other manufacturers like Samsung and Apple who are now giving up on bezels. Instead Google’s Pixel 2 will feature big bezels, just like the existing models.

Furthermore, there will not be any dual-camera configuration on the new generation Pixels which is unexpected because again, industry leaders like Samsung and Apple are adopting this approach. Google Pixel had the best camera at launch, but a dual-camera system appears to be a trend to stay close to other rivals in the market.
