After Samsung’s investigative reports blamed faulty batteries design for the Note 7 overheating issue, Samsung is tapping onto another Japanese battery supplier to power its next flagship, the Galaxy S8.

The tech giant is in talks with a Japanese company named Murata Manufacturing Works to supply batteries for Galaxy S8. The firm will serve as the second supplier to power Samsung Galaxy S8 units, after Samsung SDI, reported a Korean website Han Kyung.

Samsung has confirmed to launch a Galaxy model on February 26 at the MWC in Barcelona. However, based on speculations the model could possibly be Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Tab S3.

The Galaxy S8 is also expected to go on sale from April 21 in South Korea.
