The leaks suggest that the Galaxy On6 could feature an Infinity Edge display and run on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Samsung has been in the rumour mill for some time now. The company is all set to launch the new Galaxy Note 9 model on August 9. Apart from that, the South Korean giant is expected to launch its latest mid-range smartphone Galaxy On6 in India today. If reports are to be believed, the smartphone launching today will be labelled as Samsung Galaxy On6. It will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart.

While not much is known about the device, official teaser suggests that the handset could sport a Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The leaks suggest that the Galaxy On6 could feature an Infinity Edge display and run on Android 8.1 Oreo. Earlier reports suggest that the smartphone could feature a single rear camera accompanied with a LED flash and also sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by an Exynos chipset aided by 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The Galaxy On6 could be priced around Rs 15,000 and will sit alongside Samsung’s Galaxy On7 Prime, and Galaxy On Max devices. The device will also have the latest Chat on Video that allows users to use the messages apps while watching a video.

Besides, Samsung launched four smartphones back in May, labelled as the Galaxy J6, Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6, and Galaxy A6+. All the units feature Infinity Super AMOLED display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio. Also, the smartphones run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
