Motorola's current flagship offering may flaunt all the powerful internal components that one can find on a smartphone in 2017.

Last month, Samsung rolled out a commercial showing iPhone fans the greatness of their Galaxy smartphones. The ad boasted of all the innovative features that Samsung brought year ago on their lineup while iPhone users had to wait for ‘must-have’ flagship phone features in the recent iPhone models. Motorola has also been a brand known for innovation and has been competing with these two for years, which is why they have fancied taking a dig at ‘ever-trolling’ Samsung with their current flagship smartphone.

The new advert picks up from where Samsung left — the newly converted ‘Galaxy’ fan walks away from the Apple Store with his new ‘Korean-made’ pride. He keeps admiring his Samsung phone’s edge-to-edge display when his better half comes up with her Moto Z2 and attaches a Moto Mod projector to experience the photos and videos on a larger canvas. The commercial is accompanied by a caption that reads — “Their better just got bested. Why settle for edge-to-edge, when you could project your screen up to 70”?”

While Motorola takes on Samsung’s ad with a fresh dose of humour, they manage to focus only on one feature of the Samsung Galaxy smartphone as compared to Samsung showing loads of features in their commercial. The smartphone shown in the commercial is not Samsung’s latest flagship as it has fat bezels on top and bottom.

Motorola’s current flagship offering may flaunt all the powerful internal components that one can find on a smartphone in 2017 but it hasn’t been able to stand up to the likes of Samsung’s Note 8 and the iPhone X in terms of several benchmarks. Nonetheless, the Moto Mod distinguishes the Moto Z2 from its rivals and is certainly an added benefit, provided one can afford any of the Moto Mod accessories along with the phone.
