With new updates and services, freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP (VoIP) service, WhatsApp is constantly looking at something new for its one and a half billion user base, making it the world's most popular and primary messaging application. In a new update now, WhatsApp is testing a feature that would allow users to preview voice notes in notifications itself.

At the moment, users can preview received photos and videos through the notifications panel. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging app is planning to soon expand the preview feature to voice notes. iOS users would be the first ones to get the push notification preview for voice note messages.

WABetaInfo in a tweet uploaded an image where it showed a notification of a voice note with a play button. The tweet is embedded below:

There is no official confirmation on when the update will be rolling out and also, no mentions of Android getting this new feature.
