Hyderabad: Nasscom Foundation launches portal

Hyderabad: The NASSCOM Foundation on Thursday launched an inclusion-powered portal in connection with the 6th Global Accessibility Awareness Day at T-Hub in city. Principal secretary to the Telangana IT department Jayesh Ranjan launched the portal.

CEO of NASSCOM Foundation Shrikant Sinha said portal www.inclusion.nasscomfoundation.org would act as an assistive technology marketplace/forum engaging with experts, developers, IT industry leaders, the government and NGOs in the sector. 

“The portal will provide a platform for stakeholders to converge and maximize opportunities for those with disabilities. “India has a large number of people with disabilities who are aspiring for jobs but face discrimination at various levels in acquiring skills or while at interviews. NASSCOM Foundation will help the industry leverage the untapped potential of the those with disabilities and provide assistance to them in making their workplaces and ICT accessible,” he said. 

Managing director of Deque Software Private Limited Sujasree Kurapati and others took part in the event.
