The company is trying the best to make things right and has been apologetic about the whole fiasco. Niantic also announced a refund for the tickets, add $100 in Pok©Coins to users' accounts, as well as give event attendees the Legendary Pok©mon Lugia for free.

Game developer GameFreak is reportedly working on a core RPG Pokemon title for Nintendo Switch. If this turns out to be true then this will be the first proper Pokemon title under development solely for Nintendo Switch. According to Nintendo, the latest Pokemon game won’t be ready at least until 2018.

Many feel it’s a smart move by Nintendo to postpone the launch until next year as the firm only recently launched ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ for Nintendo 3DS. Moreover, the company has a stellar line-up for games for this year as well, including Arms, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

Several reports indicate that the upcoming game will be called ‘Pokemon Stars’ and will feature the same art style, map, routes and cities as ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon.’

Additionally, ‘Pokemon Stars’ will be the third game in the series.
