WhatsApp made its Status' feature live on February 24 this year, which allows users to send photos, videos and GIFs throughout their day with friends and family. Instagram launched the story feature last August and reached 150 million daily users in January.

WhatsApp has been long rumoured to introduce a standalone business app for small businesses. Several leaks corroborated the reports and now Android Police has reported the popular messaging platform is coming up with WhatsApp for Business app. The app is said to be in its final stage of development.

The APK file of the upcoming app is available for download and is being tested by early testers who previously registered for the same. WhatsApp also explains how the app would work. The app will illustrate various instances enabling users to choose the options that best suit them.

If a person wishes to make a business account only, they simply have to register for the WhatsApp for Business and then transfer their contacts to the app. This feature will not intermix their personal and business conversations.

If a user wants to use both business and personal app, then they will have to register using two different phone numbers. A user cannot register on both accounts with a same number.

WhatsApp also explains that businesses can also register using their landline numbers, which is yet to make its way on the original WhatsApp app.
