Google Maps gets multi-stop directions; makes travelling easier

Google has now added a new feature to its maps, allowing individuals to plan road trips with multiple stops.

Mumbai: In an attempt to make travelling easier for users, Google has now added a new feature to its maps, which will allow individuals to plan road trips with multiple stops.   

The Android update is already available and will be making its way to iOS soon. All user has to do is enter a destination, tap the menu on the corner and select ‘add stop’ and drag it to a relevant position on the map.

According to reports, the user is entitled to numerous stops as per requirement. Once you have added all the pit stops, the multiple-routing is complete.

Moreover, it will even show you all the petrol pumps, ATMs or restaurants that fall on the way, on the map.

Google Maps Android users will also be allowed to preserve their travel memories with ‘your Timeline’.

According to Sanket Gupta, Product Manager, Google Maps, the main benefit of this new feature will make travelling a lot easier and subsequently help people store memories made along the course of the trip.
