Mumbai: Apple is all set to unveil the updated Apple Watch 2 at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 scheduled from June 13 to 17, according to analysts.

According to Macrumors, a well-known Apple Analyst Brain White has predicted that the refreshed version of the Apple Watch will be 20 to 40 per cent lighter than the previous iteration, and will be released with the next few months, possibly at the company’s annual WWDC.

Earlier it was predicated that the updated Apple Watch would be released in Apple’s March event, where the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro was launched.

However, other reports that have surfaced later suggested that the next-gen wearable will make its debut in September.

While some reports claim that the updated watch will be unveiled in September, there are other reports which indicate that the Apple Watch 2 will be released in June.

Another Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri also claimed that the second generation Apple wearable will be unveiled sometime between mid to late 2016. He too predicted that the refreshed Apple Watch 2 will be thinner than the current model.

Some of the additional details about the wearable encompass Face time video camera and expanded Wi-Fi integration; new bands and design refreshments can also be expected.

While there is no clarity if the watch will be released in June on September, it is clear that Apple is elongating the wearable’s release cycle to maintain steady demand and enthusiasm among fans.
