Fitbit may buy smartwatch maker Pebble for $40 million

Jawbone accused Fitbit of infringing six patents and poaching employees who took with them confidential data about Jawbones business.

These devices will be available in the price range of Rs 9,000 to Rs 23,000.

Fitbit is reportedly buying Pebble, a popular Kickstarter project for $40 million. According to a report by The Information, the negotiations are going on and it could soon make the deal announcements.

On the other hand, TechCrunch reported that watch maker Citizen is also interested in acquiring Pebble and they offered a sum of $740 million last year.

Pebble products are greatly appreciated in the market. There is no official confirmation from either of the companies as of yet.
