Why SRK May Never Act With Suhana Again
For the actor, sharing the screen with daughter turned out to be far more demanding than expected emotionally, mentally, and physically — leaving little room for a repeat
Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is shaping up to be one of his most intense projects yet. According to a close friend of the actor, SRK took a long break between schedules and is now set to resume shooting from mid-December.
But the real challenge, the source says, was working alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.
“Shooting with his daughter proved emotionally and physically exhausting for Shah Rukh. He never imagined it would be this tough. Instead of focusing on his own scenes, he was constantly worried about Suhana. Whether she was comfortable, if the action sequences were too demanding, whether she needed a break, if she had eaten,” says the friend.
Ironically, Suhana handled the pressure with ease. “She’s more than capable of looking after herself,” the source adds.
So does that mean Shah Rukh won’t work with Suhana again?
“It’s actually the other way around,” the friend laughs. “I don’t think Suhana wants to work with Shah Rukh again. She may be the only actor in India who feels that way.”
