Vijay Asks ‘Jana Nayagan’ Producer to Cut Short Cannes Visit

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay has requested Venkat K. Narayana, producer of his swansong film, Jana Nayagan, to cut short his participation in the Cannes Film Festival and return to Chennai, as the much-delayed movie is being cleared for release.

Vijay feels the producer should be home overseeing release plans. Narayana is now reportedly on his way back. Jana Nayagan is expected to have one of the biggest openings of Tamil cinema. Taking note of Vijay’s mounting pan-India popularity, the film will also be released in a dubbed Hindi version.
