Mythri Movie Makers, one of Tollywood’s premier production houses, is set to expand into infrastructure with a massive film studio near Shamshabad in Hyderabad!

Having built a formidable presence across production, distribution and exhibition, the studio marks a major step in vertical integration for the company.

The production house has reportedly sought 300 acres from the government at market price. Speculation suggests around 100 acres could be allotted at Rs 1crore per acre.

Reports indicate the company has already finalised plans for a comprehensive ‘Mythri Film City’ spread over roughly 100 acres in the Shamshabad area.

The proposed location offers easy access via the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and proximity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, making it ideal for modern film shoots. The move aligns with the post-pandemic trend of setting up studios closer to Hyderabad’s major transport corridors.

Currently, Ramoji Film City remains the dominant outdoor studio ecosystem on Hyderabad’s outskirts. If built with state-of-the-art post-production, AI and VFX facilities, Mythri’s complex could emerge as a strong alternative and further cement the banner’s position as a power player in Indian cinema.
