Salman Khan’s song ‘Teri Sexy Beauty’ has triggered debate over its lyrics and context.

Salman Khan surprised fans at 5:12 AM on Wednesday by releasing a quirky, flirty song sung by him, titled ‘Teri sexy beauty’ from his upcoming patriotic film Maatrubhumi. The upbeat track, which marks the actor’s return to playback singing after 11 years, left netizens both amused and confused about how such light-hearted lyrics fit into a serious, tragic war drama.

Netizens questioned how a movie supposedly based on a true life patriotic incident could feature such cheeky, irreverent lyrics as ‘main do peg pee ke aeroplane ban gaya hu.’ “Real story pe based patriotic movie me ye sab kya lyrics hai?” asked one user.

Salman captioned his post “Departure time 5:12 am…. Flight on time, 2 pegs down taking off with my sexy beauty… pata nahi kahaan mai land karoon.”

Trolls also flooded social media with jokes about the actor’s unexpected early-morning posting schedule, some wondering if he had uploaded the song by mistake, others noting that his sleep schedule seemed to be as chaotic as theirs.
