Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan finds himself caught in an escalating communal controversy after his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed Bangladeshi fast-bowler Mustafizur Rahman for the 2026 iteration of the cricket tournament. Some BJP leaders made stinging comments against Shah Rukh, calling him a “traitor” after KKR ‘acquired’ Rahman. And now, the Shiv Sena has issued a strong warning to the actor regarding the player’s inclusion in the team

With Uddhav Thackeray of the Shiv Sena adding his weight to the situation, Shah Rukh Khan may have no option but to drop the Bangladeshi from KKR. A close friend of SRK confirms that the Superstar is in no mood to take on the Shiv Sena.

This is not the first time Shah Rukh has been in trouble with the Shiv Sena in connection with the IPL. In 2013, his franchise’s acquisition of Pakistani players was strongly opposed.
